Well... how do I rate excellence???
The service is the friendliest they will always remember your name and what you eat/drink.
The food is mouth-watering they will even invent meals if that's what you want.
If you haven't been there yet, your taste buds are missing out.
BEST, BEST, BEST CAFE EVER.
Ever since I moved from Sainte-Anne, I've missed this charming local cafe. There's nothing like it. It's the most cozy place, with fresh, top-quality food. Try their soups and their desserts (yum!). I recommend the raspberry coconut square. Absolutely divine.
Great veg chili
Great made-to-order sandwiches, coffee and desserts. We go there regularly and NEVER had anything but the best service and food quality.
Best Cafe ever!! The ladies who work there are incredibly nice and the food is awesome and great price. Breakfast sandwich is the bomb!
Wonderful food, cozy atmosphere and sweet staff ) Love the place
Best caf my wife and I have ever been to. We have sampled many-a caf in our lives and I must echo the other reviews in their sentiment and extols. Their home-made food is out of this world! It is simple with no frills but wow- talk about making it with "love". Their caf-au-laits are exquisite. Very kid- friendly, we must talk the kids there once a month ( we live in Montral, closer to the city). The desserts are really something extra special. Ambiance is reminiscent of the SoHo cafs we used to frequent whil living in NYC. Bridgette and her staff are some of the most courteous, attentive and respectful people in the business. Long Live TWIGS!!
Three of us went for lunch today and enjoyed their sandwiches tremendously. Two of us had the "Alligator" grilled sandwich (1 on wholewheat tortilla & the other on ciabatta roll) which had amongst other ingredients roastbeef, egg salad, tomatoes, spinach, cheese, pickles, (mushrooms & onions which I changed to roasted red peppers and hot peppers plus Dijon mustard). You have a choice of bread, wraps, etc. It was a little over $9 for that sandwich with soup or salad. I'll be back for one again. We also tried the raspberry coconut squares which were reccommended in another review, but all agreed were way too sweet. The barley & vegetable soup was good, not great and the coffee was good if you like strong coffee. If I had been hungrier, I would have tried the Key Lime Pie.
Ladies and Gentlemen- If you ever want a BREAK from ALL the restaurants and cafes that either "take you for a ride" on price or portion- or fall short of your expectations, GO TO TWIGS in St Anne. Truly the ONLY restaurant we have found ( and we have sampled alot- including all over NYC/Montreal) that one can call their food is made with "Homemade" goodness and love. It truly is! Sandwiches/soups are out of this world and the size and quality of the bread- UM! Surprisingly chic high quality desserts too- try ANYTHING they have- you will not be disappointed. They also consistantly make the BEST cafe-au-laits in town. No joke- and I have sampled many. Bridgette, her sister and staff are so generous with the portions and attentive to your needs- a true hidden gem of a place. Best kept secret in the West Island. I wish I could eat there every day ( we live in Montreal so it's a 25 minute trek) but we go with the kids at least twice a month.
Sainte anne's My husband & I stopped in on Sat ordered roast beef s
andwiches @ 13:12 mine was ordered on a baquet which was very
stale the whole sandwich was terrible will never be back again
D Sabino ca.
The service seems a bit spotty: good days and bad days. I was in last weekend with a date and we waited about 15 minutes for a cafe latte, we reminded the lady about the latte and still waited another 5 minutes for the coffee to arrive. When it arrived on the table some minutes after the chili (excellent and organic) it was really good..... go there for the food, not the service....
Great people and food. Tasty sandwiches on thick slices of fresh bread; nice little unusual touches in the choices of fillings; endless willingness to please. Deadly delicious pies and cakes. Oh yeah, good coffee too. - talked myself into it, I'm goin' back right now!
Been going to twigs for about 2 years....Excellent food, great owner and wonderful staff.....
Soups are the best on the West-Island.....Sometimes slow if you are in a hurry, but certainly a
very friendly place to relax and enjoy life....Has free WiFi for those that require same....
Hard to beat this quaint and cozy restaurant.....Desserts to die for.!!!!!!!!!!!Highly recommended.....
